Electrostatic Precipitators

The removal of dust from flue gases by means of electrostatic precipitators is a way of reducing costs and has proved its value over and over again down the years. Our HV units are used together with electrostatic filters in environments where large volumes of flue gas, dust or process gases need to be purified. electrostatic precipitator

How an electrostatic precipitator works:

The purpose of an electrical filter is to separate particles from gases through the use of electric field strength (Coulomb force).
High electrical field forces cause the release of load carriers on corona electrodes, which attach themselves to the particles to be separated. The forces of the electrical field pull the charged particles in the direction of the collector electrode, where they attach themselves. Subsequently, they are cleaned off in appropriate time intervals.
